The residence

Casa la Torre is the result of the restoration of an ancient private villa built as an annexe to the Certosa of Florence and is characterised by a watchtower dominating the hillside.

Located in the village of Galluzzo, municipality of Florence, it enjoys a splendid panoramic view of the hills in front of it, dominated by the Certosa of Florence, a monumental complex dating back to the 14th century, a majestic monastery, the second most important in Europe.

The house is surrounded by a large tree-lined garden, an olive grove and a small vineyard, where guests can enjoy the harmony and peace of the countryside and nature.

A small private road starting from the main street of the village and winding along the banks of the river Ema, climbing between two rows of cypress trees, will lead you to Casa la Torre.

Casa la Torre of Florence, is the ideal place for those who want to live the experience of staying in a 16th century castle in the Tuscan hills.

The property has an independent flat finely furnished and two double bedrooms with private bathroom.

The flat

The apartment is located on the ground floor and it is bright and comfortable and consists of a kitchen area (equipped with all utilities), a double bedroom with an additional sofa bed, a bathroom and a utility room. Equipped with air conditioning, it can accommodate up to 3/4 people.

Ideal for couples or families with children.

The bedrooms

The bedrooms are located inside the property.

Furnished with original period furniture in an elegant style, they consist of a 40sqm double bedroom with private bathroom and an adjacent bedroom also with a double bed.

Perfect solution for families with 1 or 2 children or for two couples of friends.

You will be autonomous and independent. You will have access to the entire garden and the entire farm completely fenced.

Your furry friends are welcome.

Position

Casa la Torre is only 5 minutes from the motorway (Firenze-Impruneta exit), a short walk from the Certosa of Florence and only 10 minutes by car, or 15 minutes by bus, from the historical centre of Florence.

5 minutes by foot and you will be in the centre of Galluzzo. A village with shops, typical trattorias, a public library, churches, pharmacies, supermarkets, the typical daily local market, and the monthly antiques market.

By car, 10 minutes from the house there is a convenient car park along the ancient walls of Florence where you can leave your car and walk to the city centre, in 10/12 minutes’ walk you will reach the Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, Boboli Gardens etc.

If you want to live an unmissable experience to discover the history and art of some of the most fascinating Tuscan destinations, in less than an hour you will be in Siena, passing through Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Certaldo.

You can visit Florence, Pisa, Lucca or discover the historical and suggestive places along the road of wine, oil and flavours of Chianti Classico, within a vast territory characterised by vineyards, olive groves, picturesque villages and historical wine cellars.

Finally, in just an hour you can reach Versilia: Viareggio with its sea and famous carnival is definitely worth a visit!
